Horse Rescue Info

Wendy and Breezy Story:

When Wendy was rescued she had a foal at her side.  The two nearly starved to death.  Wendy’s foal has been adopted and now resides at Long Shot Training Facility in Kalispell, Montana.  The rescue facility later found out that Wendy was due to have a foal any day.  They are unable to take care of a mare and foal at the rescue facility so they were in need of a home right away.

Long time best friend and fellow horse trainer Katy Long contacted me about this situation.  With the help of my parents John and JeAnna Wisher we adopted Wendy and her soon to be foal.

We adopted Wendy at the beginning of April 2008.  It is the 26th of April now and she is due any day.  She and foal will spend the summer in Columbia Falls, Montana.  Wendy is a 19 year old Thoroughbred mare with Jockey Club papers.  The foal’s sire is black and white quarter horse paint.  We are all hoping for a healthy baby with color.
